What is the first dream you ever recalled?

Hello there! How is that first week of summer going?  Or for those who are “upside down,” how does that winter feel? This week I bring you something different. There are a few things I feel like sharing with you and even creating a small conversation if someone wants to. Occasionally it’s welcomed, and we have spent months talking about “more serious things,” therefore, it’s time for a little relaxing!

Well, this week I want to talk a little about dreams. As you well know, we all dream, however, some are more capable of remembering them than others. Whenever we enter the REM phase, we dream. I am sure that absolutely everyone remembers at least having once dreamed. But hey, this entry is not “technical” but rather to share something different on the subject. So, I’ll start and end this entry with a question:

What is the first dream you can remember in your life?

Mine was when I was about 4 or 5 years old, and I lived in Boston. Ironically, I can remember the decoration of my room thanks to this dream. Among my toys was a yellow Playmobil flashlight. This flashlight had white and red light. And the dream was like this:

Suddenly I woke up in bed because I could see that the flashlight was on the floor, lit and pointed at the wall. The whole room was bluish due to the blue light of the lantern. I got out of bed to go and turn off the torch when I realized something; The flashlight emitted a blue light. I was very surprised because the lantern had never had that light, and besides, “my room felt strange.” Then, somehow (I do not remember how) I knew I was dreaming and could move things without touching them … I remember that after a while, I opened the window of my room. It was dark, and the sky was full of stars. I remember feeling a desire to go to the stars and suddenly, I found myself flying towards them.

And that’s all I remember! I can even remember the feeling I had when I saw the flashlight with the blue light and that there was something else that was not right or out of place. Since I have use of reason, any anomaly in space-time, fascinates me. And that feeling could be replicated in this dream, and even today, I can remember it…

But as I told you at the beginning, we all dream every night throughout our lives when we enter the REM phase (except sleeping disorders). So even babies dream from the first day they are born. And what does a baby dream about? Easy question. They dream about what has happened during their day. Therefore, if your baby (or the people around him/her) has had a bad day, s/he is more likely to wake up crying at night. A baby does not understand or reason as a child or an adult … but they perceive and feel much more. They are also very sensitive to energies. This influences the baby’s dreams (stress) by creating “nightmares” and awakening to crying. So, the next time you have a problem at home, try to fix it as quietly as possible or away from you baby, as they will suffer more than you.

And well, really this is everything, a short entry, but interesting! So, as I said at the beginning, I finish this entry with the same question:

What is the first dream you can remember in your life?

I’ll see you in a week!
